Today you will get a brief introduction to how successfully interview. While this is lesson has resources pulled for college interviews- the same concepts apply for jobs/career. STEP 1: As a class, watch this 5 minute video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=248&v=DHDrj0_bMQ0 STEP 2: Individually, read this blog article: https://blog.prepscholar.com/college-interview-questions-you-should-prepare-for STEP 3: Individually, select 5 questions from the list that you will ask a classmate. STEP 4: Find a partner (or small group of 3) and a space to work either in the room/5th floor patio/ or hallway, and conduct an interview using the questions you selected from the reading. THIS MOCK INTERVIEW SHOULD TAKE AT LEAST 10 MINUTES PER PERSON. Take turns asking/answering questions. Give feedback about body language, strength of responses, etc. Take advantage of this practice! STEP 5: Upon returning to class, read the attached PDF. It was created by Mr. Landry who has experience interviewing perspective students for Rice University. STEP 6: Any remaining time can be used for independent study.
